Reading Intervention

Grades 1-3

We offer a researched-based, pull-out reading intervention program tailored to the needs of students in grades 1–3. This school- and PFC-funded program is taught by two credentialed teachers. Students who are identified as being at risk of not meeting grade-level expectations are referred for remedial help in small groups.

Grades 4-5

An upper grade reading intervention program, funded by the PFC, targets students in grades 4–5 who need continued support in reading and writing strategies. This program is also taught by a credentialed teacher. Classroom teachers make the referral for both intervention programs. Parent permission is required.
