What is the PFC?
A non-profit organization that expects to raise more than $100,000 this year, the Mt. Diablo Elementary PFC helps to fund programs and provide supplies that the school could not otherwise afford. It is the equivalent of the PTA you may remember from your own school days.
This money supports our computer program and provides instructional aides, yard duty support, curriculum enhancement, parent educator programs, classroom supplies, playground equipment, capital improvements such as air conditioning and landscaping, enrichment and reading assistance programs, and much more.
To support high academic standards and a positive learning environment at our school through educational and social programs, parent outreach, and community involvement.
To make every child's potential a reality by:
- Helping to provide a strong educational and learning environment for students
- Maintaining a strong membership and good relationships with teachers and each other through effective communication, planning, documentation, and training
- Having visibility and a voice in the community
- Maintaining a healthy bank account through planning and the financial/strategic flexibility to adjust to outside factors
How Do I Get Involved?
We are filling Board and committee positions NOW for the 2016-2017 school year. Check the PFC Roster see all positions. If you or someone you know might be interested in any of the open positions, please contact Renee Culp. Thanks for your support and we look forward to working with you! The PFC meets at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. See the school calendar for actual dates. FREE babysitting is provided — there is no need to sign up in advance.
The Parent Faculty Club(PFC) is looking for the some new people to help keep MDE the great school it is. There are some people leaving and moving on from the current Executive board and committees. We are extremely grateful for all their support over the years. The PFC needs your help to continue to raise over $120,000 to give your kids the high level of academic success they deserve. Please consider getting involved by joining the PFC Executive board or taking on a committee chair positions. This is a great way to help out your kids, meet new parents and have fun. Open Executive board positions for 2016-2018: Two year positions
Co-President: Over sees PFC meetings and all PFC postions
Treasurer (2 needed) : Maintains all financial actions of PFC
VP Events: Over sees all PFC special event committe heads
VP Fundraising: Over sees all fundraising committee heads
VP Corresponding Secretary: Over sees all communication committee heads: website, Facebook and eblast weekly message
Parliamentarian : Maintains Robert Rules of Order for all PFC meetings
Committee Chairs 2016-2017: Can be more than one person. Positions last one year.
Haunted House(5th grade fundraiser)-Must be a 5th grade parent next year.
All executive board members must be voted in at the PFC General meeting on Tuesday May 17th. Committee chairs are approved by Executive board. It would be great to have some new faces.
